POP Radar

MPH has developed POP mode for use in their police radar guns three years ago.

MPH claims the POP mode is so fast its transmissions cannot be detected by radar detectors. However, POP mode may not be used in issuing citations, as the speed cannot be locked and no droppler tone is generated, a requirement for establishing a "vehicle tracking history".

Only the states of Oregon, Nevada and Iowa have state contracts for POP radar guns.
